Extra UE
Extra UE
The Erasmus+ Program, already from the seven years 2014/2020, had introduced the possibility of carrying out periods of mobility to and from other continents (countries outside Europe), through the Action called International Credit Mobility - ICM.
This action has enabled the universities that have taken it upon themselves to conclude many International Cooperation Agreements between universities and countries participating in the programme, allowing for the external mobility of students, teachers, and staff within the EU.
In 2021-27, the action, identified as KA171, increased extra-EU mobility with the name of International Mobility involving third countries not associated to the programme.
Two types of EXTRA-EU mobility are possible:
- International outbound mobility supported by internal policy funds (KA131) to countries worldwide, exclusively outbound for all cycles and up to 20 % of the grant awarded to the project (Regions 1 to 14).
- International outbound and incoming mobility supported by external policy funds (KA171) to and from countries worldwide, except for Regions 13 and 14, with cycle restrictions linked to certain countries.
The University of Sannio participates annually in the CALL established by the National Agency Erasmus+ / INDIRE and, to this end, has concluded many International Cooperation Agreements covering various countries EXTRA EU.
In addition, annually, it publishes an EU Extra Call to encourage and increase the mobility of PhD students.
