From Milan to the Moon, with a stop in Benevento
Benevento welcomes an exceptional stop of the exhibition route "From Milan to the Moon, with a stop in Benevento" an initiative that creates an ideal bridge between the Lombard city, the beating heart of Italy, and the capital of Sannio. The exhibition showcases a graphic heritage that has helped stimulate the reflection of hundreds of thousands of readers of Corriere della Sera, recounting news events and epochal occurrences, such as the conquest of Space.
The project stems from the collaboration between the University of Sannio, the Dario Mellone & Museum Foundation, and the Benevento Inside Cultural Association, with the aim of promoting the value of collective memory and artistic expression.
The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on April 14 at 11:00 AM and will remain open to the public until the end of the year, is divided into two sections:
- Twenty aluminum panels will be set up in the picturesque portico of the historic San Domenico Palace.
- Sixteen paintings by Dario Mellone from the collection of the eponymous museum will be exhibited in the spaces of the Rectorate on the first floor.
A distinctive feature of the exhibition is the particular attention to accessibility, ensuring that all visitors can independently enjoy the experience, with exceptional care for the blind audience. Thanks to an innovative graphic choice, the exhibition panels feature tactile elements that allow visitors to explore the works through touch, guaranteeing an inclusive and participatory experience.
The event represents a unique opportunity to rediscover the evocative power of illustration and visual journalism, bringing together two cities and cultures with an eye always focused on the future.
