Professor Alfredo Vaccaro elevated to IEEE Fellow for his groundbreaking research on electrical system analysis under uncertainty
Thanks to his pioneering studies on the analysis of electrical systems in the presence of uncertain data, Professor Alfredo Vaccaro, a faculty member at the University of Sannio, has been named an IEEE Fellow. This prestigious recognition is one of the highest distinctions awarded by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
The IEEE is a global authority in engineering and technology, renowned for its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. The IEEE Fellow distinction is conferred upon a select group of scientists whose work has significantly advanced or applied engineering, science, and technology, bringing meaningful value to society.
Professor Vaccaro graduated from the University of Salerno and earned his PhD at the University of Waterloo in Canada. He is the author of four books and has published over 200 articles in leading international journals and conferences. Since 2002, he has served at the Department of Engineering at the University of Sannio, where he is now Full Professor of Power Systems and Chair of the Degree Programs in Energy Engineering.
