Saturday 12 March, the Accademia di Santa Sofia and the University of Sannio present the third unmissable appointment of the 2022 Concert Season, always under the artistic direction of Filippo Zigante and Marcella Partziale, and with the scientific advice of Marcello Rotili, Massimo Squillante and Aglaia McClintock.
At 19:00 the Sant'Agostino Auditorium in Benevento will host the concert "From Rome to Buenos Aires", where the extraordinary guest, Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi with his Bandoneon, will perform with the prestigious Accademia string quintet di Santa Sofia, composed by Alessia Avagliano and Annastella Gibboni on violins, Martina Iaco on viola, Alfredo Pirone on cello and Gianluigi Pennino on double bass. The very enjoyable program includes music by Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov and Astor Piazzolla.

The opening reflection entitled “Cultural Glocalism” is curated by Pierpaolo Forte.

On the occasion of the Accademia di Santa Sofia concert with UniSannio, in agreement with the Municipality of Benevento, the Culture Commission and the Community of Sant'Egidio, represented in Benevento by Celestino De Marco, will promote a fundraiser that will be entirely donated to support the population of Ukraine.

Admission to the concert is allowed subject to availability, according to Anti Covid legislation, with green pass and mask.
