Inauguration of the Academic Year
On January 26, 2024, at 11 am, the University of Sannio will officially launch the Academic Year in a solemn ceremony to be held at the Sant'Agostino Auditorium.
The program includes a series of interventions, with illustrious personalities from the local and national scene.
The Mayor of Benevento, Clemente Mario Mastella, will open the ceremony with his greetings, followed by the inaugural speech by the Rector Gerardo Canfora. Subsequent interventions will be entrusted to Raffaele Lucariello, representing the student component, Henintsoa F. N. Edmond, for the international student community, and Antonella De Blasio, representative of the technical-administrative staff.
The inaugural lecture will be held by Maurizio Molinari, director of LA REPUBBLICA, entitled "Disputed Mediterranean, the opportunity for Italy". An in-depth analysis that promises to offer fundamental insights into a complex reality in which our country, geographically central, plays a key role.
Subsequently, the vice-rector of the University of Sannio Giuseppe Marotta will give a speech entitled "UNISANNIO: University of internal areas". In his speech he will address the relevant issue of the polarization of development, exploring possible ways for the growth of marginal territories.
The president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, will close the ceremony.
