On 26 April, the University of Sannio hosts Asmae Dachan, a professional journalist, photographer, poet and Italian-Syrian writer.
At 11, in the Reading Room of Palazzo De Simone in Piazza Arechi II, UNISANNIO students will talk to the expert journalist of the Middle East, Syria, human rights, Islam, interreligious dialogue and work. "Meeting gazes. Proximity journalism for the story of rights" is the theme of the event.
Asmae Dachan works as a freelancer for several national and international newspapers. You have worked in Italy, Turkey, Syria, Greece, Jordan, England, Belgium, Ethiopia and Tanzania. She is the creator and author of the blog Diario di Siria – “Writing to rediscover the value of human life” and of the podcasts “Syria, war and jasmine” and “In our homes”. She is an activist for peace and non-violence.
