The research activity is developed through a numerical-experimental approach, starting from the analysis of single components of the building envelope (traditional and innovative) and moving to study methods and tools for evaluating the performance of the whole envelope-HVAC building system, also with reference to indoor comfort conditions. In this perspective, the scientific activity concern two macro-themes summarized below:
1. analysis of innovative solutions for the efficiency of the envelope-HVAC building system;
2. methods of diagnosis, analysis and optimization of the energy performance of buildings.
The research, relating to the two macro-themes described, was partly financed with projects of the European Union, the Ministry of University and Scientific Research, the Campania Region and some through research agreements with private companies national and international.
