Giovanni Filatrella, was born in Matera, Italy, on January 13, 1965. He earned a PhD degree in physics in 1992.
He is employed at Department of Science and Technology, University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy. He has been post- doc at the Physikalisches Institut, Lehrstuhl Experimentalphysik II, Tubingen University, Germany (Marie Curie Fellow) and at the Physics Department, University of Salerno, Italy.
Prof. FIlatrella research has focused on nonlinear dynamics and superconducting electronics. Emphasis is on synchronization of disordered systems, noise effects and chaotic dynamics. The applications encompass soliton motion, models of neuronal activity, the Kuramoto model and economic dynamics.
