Gerardo Canfora Professore Ordinario |
Gerardo Canfora is a professor of computer science at the School of Engineering of the University of Sannio, Italy. From November 2019 he is the Rector of the University. Gerardo Canfora is the co-author of 200 referred journal and conference research papers; his research interest include software maintenance and evolution, empirical software engineering, service oriented software engineering, software security and privacy, pervasive systems. On these themes, he has participated and leaded numerous research projects in collaboration with national and international research institutes and companies. He serves on the program and organizing committees of a number of international conferences. He was general chair of WCRE’06 and CSMR’03, and program co-chair of ICSE’15, WETSoM’12 and ’10, ICSM’01 and ’07, IWPSE’05, CSMR’04 and IWPC’97. Gerardo Canfora has worked as a consultant for ICT companies and public administration; he has served as a reviewer for many national and international funding agencies. He has helped numerous public administratins (Regione Campania, Provincia di Benevento, Provincia di Avellino, Archivio di Stato di Catania, ASL Benevento 1, ASI Palermo) in their technology innovation projects. |

Gaetano Continillo is Professor of Chemical Process Engineering at the Department of Engineering, Università del Sannio, Benevento, Italy, and Associate Researcher at Istituto Motori CNR, Naples, Italy. From 1998 to 2003 he has served as Associate Professor on the same institution. From 1985 to 1998 he has been affiliated with CNR at the Istituto di Ricerche sulla Combustione in Naples, Italy. From 2007 to 2011 he has been three times Visiting Professor at Université d’Orléans, France. From 1986 to 1988 he has spent 19 months at the University of California Irvine, USA, working on the numerical modelling of the combustion of droplets and sprays. In 1987 he received the Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from Università Federico II, Naples, Italy. His research interests fall in the field of analysis, simulation and dynamics of reactive systems. He is author or co-author of more than one hundred fifty between journal and conference papers, mostly international. He has been President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems; Fellow of the Institute of Physics and Chartered Physicist; Head, Joint Graduate Program in Energy Engineering, Universita del Sannio, Benevento, Italy and Università Federico II, Napoli, Italy. He is currently Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal “Combustion Theory and Modelling”. |

Paola De Nigris has been in the Administrative Staff of the Sannio’s University since 2008. She’s employed in the "Educational Offer Assistance" Unit that is mainly focused on managing processes relating to the creation and update of University Educational Offer, on the control over the needed requirements to activate and run the University courses and on the maintainance of the National Student Register. She is ESSE3 Key User for Didactic Management and Educational Offer activities. Member of the Directive Board of Employees’ Recreation and Leisure association of Sannio’s University, working as Treasurer from March 2016 to March 2019. Member of the Quality Presidium from may 2013 to June 2018. Member of the Working Group for the drafting of Sannio’s University’s Didactic Regulations. Member of the Examining Commission for the She has many years of field experience in project management. Her areas of expertise include fund raising, drafting, submission, implementation, monitoring and accounting of EU, National and Regional projects. |
