Mohammed Janneh received a Bachelor's in Physics and Mathematics from the University of The Gambia in 2008. In 2012, he received an ERASMUS MUNDUS Master’s degree in Mathematical Modeling Engineering, Theory, Numerics and Applications from the University of L’Aquila (Italy), jointly with the University of Hamburg (Germany). In 2017 he received a PhD in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of L’Aquila (Italy). He is currently a senior postdoctoral researcher in the Optoelectronics Department - Department of Engineering at the University of Sannio. His area of research interest lies in the field of optoelectronics, photonics, and spectroscopy. In particular, he is involved in researching and developing optical, optoelectronic, and plasmonic sensors and sensor systems for physical, chemical, and biological applications.
